Scared Into A Yoga Practice!
I recently had a scare when my back locked up on me in a muscle spasm or something. Being someone who never goes to the emergency room or the doctor unless it's an annual check up, I was in so much pain that I took myself to urgent care. It was then, that I realized that, at the age of 36, being in usually good health, I needed to seriously consider a regular exercise routine and I have always been interested in yoga.
So, I'm trying to stay true to my committment and continue with my quest to practice yoga daily. So far, so good. I downloaded "The Beginners" video from the YogaToday.com site. It's fairly easy, the instructor is cool, and since classes are recorded outside on a mountain top, so that even in the dead of winter, where I am, it gives the appearance that I'm outside with the sun beaming on my face with Neesha (my instructor) and her students.
With beginner's yoga, the instructor asks you to choose an "intention" when you bring the palms of your hands together and press inward so that your intention is realized. Well, my new intention/mantra is to have "Less Stressful - More Healthful!" Being someone who doesn't normally breathe regularly and has to make myself take deep breathes and relax my body because I'm always so tensed up, I'm finding that when I do yoga, it does make me feel more relaxed, and by breathing deeply, I feel more connected to a peace that is beyond me. That's a great feeling.

Thank You from NYC
Hello, my name is Sagit, and I'm a musician, as well as a yoga teacher from Israel (now living in NY), I have watched and practiced with this video www.youtube.com/watch?v=dnbzxMsjbIk that you've posted, and I wanted to mention that it is great!
I tried MANY yoga teachers but after studying with my teacher who is a true master of Hatha yoga I couldn't find anything that was as good. Thank you for posting this video, I also recommended it to all my friends and colleagues in Boston where I teach and in NY. Thank you for posting!

Thank you for helping me breathe again
I just wanted to thank you guys for the recent Stress Reducing Rapid Kundalini class. My life has been so stressful for the past couple of weeks and will likely continue to be for a few more weeks. I did that class again a few minutes ago and I just feel like I can breathe again. That class was such a blessing and reminds me why I love you guys so much.

Thank You
I am so happy to have found Yoga Today. I have enjoyed almost every class I have tried and love the different styles offered by Adi, Sarah, and Neesha. Yesterday I realized downward dog had become a "position of rest" for me and I wanted to share my gratitude. My only complaint is there are so many classes it is hard to choose my daily practice :)

a motherhood journey
I started practicing yoga during my second pregnancy and then found Yoga Today in 2007 when I was expecting my 3rd. Now I'm a homeschooling mama of 6 kiddos. Needless to say my schedule can be pretty crazy and time to myself is scarce.
With the miracle of Yoga Today I've been able to be consistent and deepen my practice over the years. I feel like I get such authentic teaching from Adi, Neesha, and Sarah and have grown in my knowledge and love for my amazing body. Yoga truly enhances every aspect of my life, but it just wouldn't be the same if I was limited to making up my own sequences at home and rare visits to the studio.
I just finished the first 100 hours of my teacher certification and over and over my instructors were amazed at my intuitive knowledge of alignment. I have Yoga Today to thank for that and realized that I needed to let you know.
So, thank you, all of you, for being such a big part of my life. At least 3 days a week you can find me on my mat with my iPad playing Adi, Neesha, or Sarah. You ladies are deep in my soul.
I can't wait to finish my certification and share the light yoga has brought me with others-- especially expectant mamas. I know I wouldn't be where I am on my happy motherhood journey without you!
